Emily Mahony

Emily Mahony was born in Boston but has been a Washington, D.C. resident for many years. After graduating with a BA from Boston College, Emily moved to D.C. and worked with the late Speaker of The House, Thomas P. O’Neill. Later on, she received her MA from American University and became a special education teacher for twelve years. Over the last twenty years following her time as a teacher, she has worked at The Catholic University of America, The National Italian American Foundation, and Marymount University where she held the position of Vice President of Advancement. She came out of retirement to work at Susan O’Neill & Associates and has spearheaded important events such as the So Others Might Eat Gala, and the Providence Hospital Gala.
