The Children’s Inn at NIH opened its doors in 1990 after years of work by dedicated Congressional spouses and leaders at the National Institutes of Health. The Inn is a refuge on the campus of the National Institutes of Health where pediatric patients and their families can stay for the duration of their treatment. Since The Inn opened its doors, more than 8,600 families throughout the United States and patients from more than 70 countries have stayed at the residence.
The first Children’s Inn at NIH Gala was held to raise funds to build the actual Inn. Each year the Gala attracts Members of Congress, NIH Leadership, Administration Officials and Corporate Leaders.
