Since 1970, So Others Might Eat (SOME) has been committed to bettering life for the homeless and needy of the DC area by providing affordable housing, job training, addiction treatment, and counseling as well as services for the elderly and mentally ill.
For over 20 years, the annual SOME gala has been a fun-filled Washington social event, bringing together the best of politics, charity and entertainment in the District. This yearly event features a silent auction and dinner dance to benefit So Others Might Eat and is attended by Washington corporate and political leaders.
Nine years ago, the SOME Junior Gala was established in order to educate young people about SOME’s mission and introduce them to the organization. Considered THE event of the year for the up-and-coming professionals and future who’s who in Washington, the Gala affords young professionals in the area the opportunity to network and socialize while becoming involved with a great Washington-based organization. This Valentine’s Day event is quickly becoming an annual tradition for DC residents in their 20’s and 30’s. The SOME Junior Gala is the place to see and be seen, so save the date in your Blackberry and come join us to dance the night away for So Others Might Eat.
