The 21st Annual So Others Might Eat
(SOME) Gala
December 1, 2007 at the Newseum
This year’s gala was held at the Newseum. At the time the Gala took place, the Newseum was not yet open to the public. Thus the Gala offered guests a rare opportunity to have a sneak peak at the museum. After the dinner, select exhibits were open for the guests to explore. The Gala also featured an auction before the dinner.

Items that were auctioned included a signed copy of Paul Krugman’s Conscience of a Liberal, memorabilia from the Red Sox 2004 World Championship series, paintings, premium wine selections and trips to exotic destinations.
The Gala featured an extensive auction prior to the dinner. Guests had the opportunity to peruse the items during the reception and place appropriate bids.
